Winter in Lapland

The Lapland winter begins in November and lasts until April. There is always a lot of snow, ice and days with low temperatures. The Lapland winter is real winter. Absolute. Holding the world in its chains. The ground is covered with a thick layer of snow and hardened by frost. Trees covered in snow resemble statues. Winter is stately and quiet. However, life continues during it. Animals cope with difficult conditions, and so do people. The Lapland winter is fascinating.
